Meet Oscar

Oscar is 7 years old. He has a 3 year old sister, named Lara.  Oscar's father left the family just after Lara was born. Murielle, Oscar's mom has had a difficult time coming to terms with her husband leaving. She has struggled with raising two children on her own. Murielle is not educated, but she is a very hard worker. She has several jobs and is trying very hard to provide for her two children, but she is all alone. Sometimes this work is easier to find than other times. She washes clothes, and dishes, she makes goods, she carries water for other families. There is no honest and hard working job that Murielle will not do to make money to support her children.

Oscar and his sister have never been in school.  Murielle would like like to start a small business, but she doesn’t have any help to do so. Oscar explains, “ I understand how my mom feels when she sees other kids going to school and she can’t afford that for me. I don’t want to punish her too, cause I know that God has a plan for everyone who believe in his name. I’m just waiting for my turn to be blessed”.

Oscar is a wonderful little boy. His favorite color is Brown. Oscar dreams of one day becoming a lawyer.  He says he wants to, “ Defend all the street boys and be the lawyer of the most vulnerable in all over the world is my goal”. What a wonderful goal he has. He wants to give back to the children of the future who he knows will be just like him. He knows that no big change will come upon Haiti to prevent this kind of life. Yet he dreams of one day doing what he can to change it. Please help him by being the change he needs.

Meet Guens

Guens is the fourth child in his family.  He likes airplanes and would like to one day become a pilot. Denise, his mom, lost her husband Wilson in 2006 when he passed away. She then had to make the difficult decision of what would happen regarding her 5 children. Guens was just 3 years old when his father died. Denise started a small home business to work to try to survive, and support her children.  Her small business helps, as she is able to feed her family, but unfortunately, it is not enough to pay for her rent and certainly does not pay to educate all of her children. She can only afford to educate three of her five children at this time.  She knows that in a country like Haiti, the most important thing that a child can benefit from their family is to obtain an education. This one thing can change their whole life and prevent from many acts of corruption in society. When asked about school, Guens says, “ I’m always sad and jealous to see my brothers and sister going to school and me not. I mention that in my prayers. I wish that God could hear my voice this year and help to become the man the I always dream to be”.

Guens is waiting for an answer from the sky. Please help be that answer and help him go to school. Guens likes the color blue. Maybe one day his airline pilot's uniform will be blue! Like the sky! Let's not let the sky be Guens' limit. He can shoot for the stars with your help! Guens wants to leave this life by changing. School can help him change and become what he wants to be! You can help him do that. Please, help Guens to fulfill his dream!

YOU can help educated Guens this year for $400. He will receive his school supplies, a uniform and a full paid education for the entire year for this cost. No amount is too small. $10 will buy him a backpack. $60 will get him all the supplies he needs. Please consider helping Guens. He will fly one day if you help him! You can help him make his dreams a reality.

Welcome to Fondasyon Timoun Jodi...

My name is Filder. I was born and raised in Haiti. I was taught to value education and people. I feel that it is my responsibility and mission in life to help people. There are many children in Haiti who do not receive education. I am working to try to help change this one child at a time. I need YOUR HELP. I work with children of all ages. I have experience working in an orphanage and seen first hand how important it is for children to be loved, educated and spiritually guided. Children here in Haiti find a harsh reality without the kind of support they need and often take to living on the street. With an education, this can be prevented. They can learn life skills, obtain jobs to support themselves and their future families, and they can learn the importance of having Jesus in their hearts. Please help me fulfill my goal of helping them fulfill their dreams in life. They deserve it.
